५ सप्टेंबर – शिक्षक दिन. शिक्षक दिन म्हटले की शिक्षकांप्रती कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करणे, शुभेच्छा देणे आणि विविध उपक्रम आयोजित करणे हे नेहमीचेच. मात्र यावेळी विद्यार्थ्यांना शिक्षकाची भूमिका प्रत्यक्ष अनुभवण्याची संधी देण्यात आली. काही विद्यार्थ्यांनी ‘विद्यार्थी शिक्षक’ म्हणून वर्गात उभे राहून आपल्या मित्र-मैत्रिणींना शिकवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. यासाठी त्यांनी आधी तयारी केली. विषय समजून घेतला, तो इतरांना कसा समजावून सांगायचा याचा विचार केला आणि ज्ञानासोबत संस्कार व विविध मूल्ये विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. ज्यांनी या उपक्रमात सहभाग घेतला, त्यांचा छोटेखानी सत्कार करून त्यांना पेन देण्यात आले. हा पेन केवळ सत्काराचे प्रतीक नव्हता, तर त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांचे कौतुक आणि भविष्यात अशाच विविध उपक्रमांमध्ये सहभागी होण्यासाठी मिळालेली प्रेरणा होती. पण खरी शिकवण वर्ग संपल्यानंतर मिळाली… कार्यक्रमानंतर सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांना एकत्र घेऊन शिक्षक दिनाचे महत्त्व, शिक्षकांचे अनुभव आणि विद्यार्थी शिक्षकांनी घेतलेले अनुभव यावर संवाद साधण्यात आला. विद्यार्थी शिक्षकांनी आपले अनुभव सांगताना काही अत्यंत म...

आज बारावी विज्ञान शाखेच्या मध्यसत्र परीक्षेदरम्यान घडलेल्या एका प्रसंगाने मनात अनेक प्रश्न निर्माण केले. परीक्षा सुरू असताना एका विद्यार्थिनीने मोबाईलचा वापर करून कॉपी केल्याची माहिती एका विद्यार्थिनीने दिली. त्यानंतर मुलींची तपासणी करण्यासाठी मॅडम आल्या. सर्व मुलींची तपासणी करण्यात आली. ज्या विद्यार्थिनीबद्दल इतर विद्यार्थिनींनी माहिती दिली होती, तिला अनेक वेळा विचारण्यात आले. मात्र तिने मोबाईल असल्याचे मान्य केले नाही. तपासणी करण्यात आली; पण मोबाईल शूजच्या सोलच्या खाली लपवलेला असल्यामुळे तपासणीत सापडला नाही. त्यामुळे तिला परीक्षा हॉलच्या बाहेर सोडण्यात आले. मात्र बारावी विज्ञानची मध्यसत्र परीक्षा संपल्यानंतर काही विद्यार्थिनींनी सांगितले की, तिच्या शूजच्या सोलच्या खाली मोबाईल लपवलेला होता. ही घटना एका विद्यार्थिनीपुरती मर्यादित नाही. उलट ती आपल्यासमोर शिक्षणव्यवस्थेशी संबंधित अनेक गंभीर प्रश्न उभे करते. विद्यार्थ्याला कॉपी करण्याची गरज का वाटते? चूक करूनही ती मान्य न करण्याची मानसिकता कुठून येते? गुणांसाठी खोटे बोलण्याची ताकद कुठून येते? आणि सर्वात महत्त्वाचे—या प्रवृत्तीचा फटका कोणा...
